Help to shape the next Somerton Music and Arts Festival

The 2025 Somerton Music and Arts Festival will launch at the annual Christmas Lights Switch-on in Somerton on Sunday 1st December. The festival team will be on hand with information about all the activities and events planned for the 2025 festival, including Somerstock, as well as competitions and ways to win tickets.

As the annual music and arts festival in Somerton continues to grow, the organisers are keen to add more varied events to widen the appeal, especially to younger members of the community. They want to hear what Somerton residents would like to see included as part of the week-long festival in July. Events can be anything within the fields of art, music, education or entertainment. “We have already introduced our Music at St Michael’s evenings where we have hosted Fleetwood Mac and The Bohemians in our beautiful church and these have been incredibly popular” says festival chairman Fred Bassett. “We will be hosting more of these in the coming months, but we would love to know what other types of event you would like to see!”

Another way to help shape the festival is by joining the organising committee. “We have openings for people to help us with social media, event organising and publicity” explains Bassett. “Whatever your particular skill set, we can find something for you to do and will welcome you with open arms!”

All event suggestions will be given consideration and any that are adopted for the festival may earn a couple of tickets for the proposer. Suggestions can be submitted on the festival website at www.somertonartsfestival.co.uk/suggestions where the terms and conditions are also displayed.
