Lonely Tourist at the Etsome Arms

Bristol based Glaswegian duo The Lonely Tourist will be playing at the Etsome Arms as part of the Somerton Arts Festival. They have released two singles in 2023 – “Duty of Care” and “This Place Takes a Lot of Beating” which have received airplay on BBC6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland. Both will be part of the 6th Lonely Tourist album, due for release this year.
His fourth album Remuneration was based around the concept of work and employment. Steve Lamacq chose one of the tracks “Frank the Barber” as one of his ‘Lamacq Liveners’ (played every day for a week on BBC 6music). Other singles “Luxury Coach” and “Last Day at Tony’s” have also featured on other 6music shows including Gideon Coe’s programme as well and being Radio Scotland singles of the week. In September 2018 Steve Lamacq picked Lonely Tourist’s “Ballad of Paul Tierney” as one of his all time favourites in 25 years of radio.
