This event was so popular last year we have decided to run it again! Join Martyn Smith, the Somerton Music & Arts Festival treasurer, for a fascinating guided tour of historic Somerton. Martyn, originally from the Midlands, moved to Somerton in 1990 and loves sharing the stories of our ancient hill-top town.
He says “Somerton is such a great place to live and I’m always proud to show people around our town with its interesting buildings and beautiful church.”
This gentle walk lasts around one hour or so and includes St Michael’s Church and some interesting landmarks in the historic town centre.
The group size is limited to 20 so book early to avoid disappointment. The walk starts from the cobbled area outside Somerton Parish Rooms.
Participants should wear comfortable footwear and take care when crossing roads.
