The Somerton Music & Arts Festival is bringing the Explosive Light Orchestra to St Michael’s in Somerton as part of our series of Music at St Michael’s events.
Explosive Light Orchestra (ExpLO) is a powerful tribute to the original ELO and a celebration of the music of Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra.
Get ready for all the classics – Mr Blue Sky, Livin’ Thing, Telephone Line, Don’t Bring Me Down, Evil Woman, Last Train to London, Turn to Stone – and many more. This is more than a gig; it’s a full-on celebration of one of Britain’s greatest songwriters – brought to life in the beautiful surroundings of St Michael’s Church.
The ExpLO line-up is headed by vocalist and musical director Robin Myles who has been with the band since the start. He is joined by Paul ‘Steady’ Steade on drums, Kevin Dyke on bass, keys and backing vocals, David Burgoyne on violin, keys and harmonica and Jazz Summers on lead guitar and vocals.
With a line-up of professional, multi-talented musicians and singers who have toured the world and worked with legendary rock producer Mack (ELO, Queen, Rory Gallagher), Explosive Light Orchestra guarantee an electrifying show that will have audiences up and dancing in the aisles.
Don’t miss this chance to experience the very best ELO tribute in one of Somerset’s most stunning venues.
As usual, there will be a full bar in the church both before the show and during the interval.
