We are delighted to present our first beer tasting event hosted by our very own Martyn Smith.
Martyn joined the British brewing industry in 1970 in Burton upon Trent — famously known as the “Brewing Capital” of Great Britain. Over the next 30 years, his career took him to several locations across the UK, culminating in a three-year stint in the Caribbean before finishing in 2000.
Along the way there were humorous moments, major technical developments and fascinating technological discoveries within the brewing world. This entertaining and informative session will be part autobiographical, part technological — and will most certainly include some tasting!
Whether you’re a real ale enthusiast, curious about brewing history, or simply enjoy a well-crafted pint, this promises to be an engaging and flavourful event.

• Avoid eating highly flavoured foods beforehand, to fully appreciate the tasting experience.
• Please do not plan to drive yourself home.
