As part of the Somerton Music & Arts Festival, the Royal Oak is hosting an evening of musical entertainment including four local bands.
Pullin & Son are dynamic father and son duo blending the raw soul of Americana with gritty blues and high-energy rock ‘n’ roll. With years of musical passion passed down through generations, their sound is both timeless and electrifying.
The Honey Bees is a powerhouse female duo blending raw blues, smoky soul, and punchy folk into a sound that’s both timeless and fresh. With rich, intertwining harmonies and emotionally charged vocals, they bring stories to life through their music. Both accomplished guitarists, their performances are intimate yet electric — laced with fingerpicked finesse, soulful strums, and a deep connection to the roots of their sound.
Freya Dalgarno is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Somerset. Delivering a mix of melancholic messages over dancing melodies, she is a solo artist who writes, performs and produces songs based on her life experiences. She’s performed at many different gigs and small-scale festivals.
Dogwood Flowers is lively four-piece folk/pop band blending old-time favourites with fresh, modern tunes. With fiddle, guitars, and harmonicas at the heart of their sound, they deliver rich harmonies and foot-stomping rhythms with a twist of contemporary flair.
